ON DIGITAL
Tuesday, August 03, 2010

The digital revolution has completely turned this music game on its head, and we've been trying all sorts of different approaches to it over the last few years, and here's our plan from here on in..

All of our physical releases (vinyl / cd's) will include with them exclusive download vouchers so that if you buy them, you'll also bag yourself the Digital Download of the release completely free, you might even get some additional tracks thrown in for good measure. This means you vinyl lovers can carry on buying vinyl, and still get the tracks backed up for your iPod.

All new releases are going to appear upfront right here on the Grid site, weeks ahead of their release anywhere else. This means that at the same time the vinyl heads are bagging their promos, you'll be able to get your 320s from us - starting right now, with the brand new Serum 12" Gutter Life / Basslick.

The next instalment!
Thursday, July 15, 2010

The 3rd part of the huge Twisted Individual remix project has now landed - featuring huge remixes from Original Sin, Zen, Sub Zero and Vital Elements this collect contains 4 absolutely huge dancefloor monsters!

Following on from the huge Playaz album Grow Your Wings and winning Best Producer at the 2010 D&B Awards Original Sin causes controversy by remixing one of the biggest tracks from the Twisted vaults ‘Rusty Sheriff’s Badge’. Zen got his hands on 2001’s ‘The F Word’ and like the original has crafted a genre busting track which will appeal to lovers of D&B and Dubstep.

Sub Zero picks ‘Donkey Punch’, and transforms it to a dirty, high impact dancefloor banger, with cheeky edits and FX’s which showcase his considerable production skills. Vital Elements opts for 2001’s ‘Flesh Wound’ - if you think Bristol vibes, rolling beats and warm bass, you’d be on the money here!

TIME TO SHINE
Thursday, June 03, 2010

Mutated Forms return, fresh from their critically acclaimed EP on Grid and cleaning up winning 3 categories at the Estonian D&B Awards with a superb new release. This single sees one new track from them, alongside a remix from good friend, and man of the moment Netsky.

After getting dark and dirty on their recent EP on Grid Recordings the Mutated trio are back with an altogether different vibe. Gone are the deep dark basslines and intense, brooding drums, that made their 'Ready When You Are' one of the biggest releases so far in 2010 - this time round they have a much more optimistic approach with their uplifting anthem 'Time to Shine'.

Like every remix worth its salt Netsky takes the original and adds a whole new dimension that will see hands in the air whenever and wherever it is played. Support from Fabio, Bailey, Grooverider and more mean this comes with approval from all corners of the scene.
